Before the first civilizations rose from the Earth, before kings, empires, and written history, there existed a distant world known in the Hidden Seven Chronicles as Aethara.
Aethara orbited a star far beyond the reach of human sight. Its people were explorers, philosophers, and seekers of knowledge who travelled between worlds in search of wisdom rather than conquest.
Among them were seven individuals whose understanding surpassed all others.
They became known simply as The Seven.
For centuries, the Seven journeyed across the galaxies, observing countless civilizations. They witnessed worlds that flourished through cooperation and wisdom, and others that collapsed beneath tyranny, fear, and the pursuit of power.
Through their travels, they discovered that every enduring civilization shared certain universal truths.
These truths became the Seven Guardian Principles.
When the Seven arrived on Earth, humanity was young and full of potential. They did not reveal advanced technologies, nor did they seek to rule.
Instead, they shared the Principles.
They taught that freedom begins within the mind.
That dignity belongs to every person.
That truth must be sought.
That courage must be tempered by compassion.
That future generations must be protected.
That service is the highest expression of wisdom.
When their work was complete, the Seven departed.
Some legends claim they returned to the stars.
Others say they ascended beyond the physical universe.
Still others believe they remain among humanity, watching quietly until the Age of Remembering arrives.
Before leaving, they delivered a final message:
"We are not your rulers. We are not your gods.
The purpose of our journey was not to create followers.
It was to help humanity become Guardians of itself."

Their names were forgotten.
